Our journey began in 1993 in the small Indonesian town of Pangkalan Kerinci. The town’s 200 households soon grew into a thriving community of over 200,000 people, mirroring our company's remarkable growth.
Commenced commercial pulp production and established PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper, the operating arm of APRIL Group
Introduced HCV Assessment for concession land-use planning and mill awarded Green PROPER rating from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry
Became signatory to Principles of UN Global Compact & PT RAPP certified for Sustainable Plantation Forest Management by Indonesia Ecolabel Institute
First & only Indonesian company admitted to World Business Council for Sustainable Development
Production facilities certified under PEFC Chain of Custody standards & PaperOne™ product certified by Hong Kong Green Label
PT RAPP becomes Asia’s first industrial plantation company certified by Bureau Veritas’ standards for Origins & Legality of Timber
