Latest news, updates and information on APRIL Group

Located within Pangkalan Kerinci, the Riau Complex provides a vibrant community of over 10,000 residents. More than just a residential area, it serves as a melting pot where diverse cultures, ethnicities, and religions foster an environment where diversity thrives.

Ramadan, a sacred month in the Islamic calendar, holds profound significance for Muslims worldwide, including those within the complex of RAPP, APRIL’s operating arm in Riau province. Beyond fasting and prayer, it is a time for introspection and gratitude, emphasizing the importance of sharing and giving to others.

Ramadan in the RAPP complex is characterized by the unity and inclusivity displayed during iftar—the evening meal to break the fast. Each department has a tradition of hosting an iftar gathering. In these gatherings, employees of varying religious backgrounds come together to partake in iftar alongside their Muslim peers, providing a sense of communal celebration.

Families in the RAPP complex also contribute takjil or refreshments to the mosque, ensuring that those distant from their loved ones can still experience the joyous camaraderie of iftar.

Community Engagement: The Vibrant Pasar Ramadan

A highlight of Ramadan in the RAPP complex is the bustling Pasar Ramadan, or Ramadan Market. As the workday draws closer, employees gather at Lapangan Merdeka square to indulge in iftar delights. From savoury skewers Sate Padang to hearty meal of Nasi Ampera, complemented by an array of refreshing beverages and desserts, the market offers culinary delights from Indonesia's rich diversity of regions.

What makes the Pasar Ramadan in the RAPP complex is remarkable is its inclusive nature. It extends a warm welcome to surrounding local communities and supports the micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) to showcase and sell their culinary products.

By coming together to celebrate traditions, APRIL remains committed to fostering a sense of community and inclusivity amidst diversity among our employees and the surrounding communities.
